Stating that the WTM London Fair is one of the most important meeting points of the travel industry, Ahmet Savaşan pointed out that the most important feature of the fair is that it deals with thematic issues related to the sector. Stating that the main theme of this year's WTM London Fair is “digitalization in tourism”, Ahmet Savaşan emphasized that a mini summit was held with the participation of sector representatives under the chairmanship of Tourism and Environment Minister Ataoğlu at the fair and that, in addition to many issues, an agreement was reached on the need to use digital opportunities in the most efficient way in order to attract more and qualified tourists to Northern Cyprus from Europe, especially from the UK.

WTM Londra Fuarı’nda 2.8 milyar sterlini bulan ticaretin üretildiğine dikkat çeken Yrd. Doç. Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, fuara katılmalarının ana hedefinin, mevcut kitle turizmi faaliyetleri sürdürülürken, sağlık ve alternatif diğer turizm türleri ile ilgili alanlarda yeni işbirlikleri kurmak ve 800 milyon USD civarında olan turizm gelirlerinin iki katına çıkarılmasına olanak yaratmak olduğuna vurgu yaptı.
